Salerno Education Fund
The Salerno Education Fund's mission is to support Catholic education in the Notre Dame Schools of Utica, NY.
Overview
The Salerno Education Fund was created at the Mary Mother of Our Savior Church as a vehicle to honor Father Joseph Salerno and support his commitment to Catholic Education.
Ordained May 3, 1980, Father Joe's 43 years of service included stints in Endicott, Binghamton, Lee Center and New Hartford. His last appointment of over two decades was pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes in Utica, now the parish of Mary Mother of Our Savior. He formerly served as police and fire chaplain. An avid supporter of Catholic Education, Father Joe is a former board member of Notre Dame Schools in Utica; he currently sits as board chair of the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties.
The Salerno Education Fund can help families who are looking to send a student to Notre Dame Schools by providing them with financial aid to assist with tuition costs.
