The Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties is pleased to announce that its Give Back to Utica Fund has launched its annual essay contest for local high school juniors and seniors living in Herkimer or Oneida counties. 

M&T Bank/Partners Trust Bank Charitable Fund has invested $250,000 to ICAN in support of its Family Resource Center, which will also house a new, state-of-the-art Children’s Museum

Essay: Community Foundation commits to collaboration, investment to bring about change.

Olivia Paul has been named director of community investment and Eh Ka Paw will serve as finance and accounting intern at the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties.

The Mid-Utica Neighborhood Preservation Corporation (MUNPC) and the Community Foundation have signed a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) as the next step in development of MUNPC’s Leisure Time Activity Center site as a collaborative multipurpose “impact center.”

The Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties distributed $52,795 to more than 30 local food pantries and soup kitchens this week.

More than 100 residents took part in the Community Foundation’s Equity Initiative Advisory Group town hall forum, the culmination of the group’s work and discussion over the last several months.

The Community Equity Forum will take place on Wednesday, October 20, 6:00-8:30 p.m., at Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute, with a report on the group’s work to date, and breakout sessions for attendees to share their thoughts.

The Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties Hero Fund America Fund has awarded $10,000 to increase awareness, advocacy and support for fire, emergency medical services (EMS), and law enforcement agencies in New York and other states.
