- A Pop Of Color Can Change The Game.
Add a shirt in a bright color and tie in a complementary color to dress up a pair of dark jeans. Add a blazer in another complementary color or neutral to pull the outfit together. Don’t be afraid to use a lot of color.
- Mix and Match.
Yes, you can mix and match your clothes so you don’t have to wear the same outfit each week. Choose neutrals as your staples, which are very easy to mix and match.
- Dress It Down.
Are others wearing suits and ties or are they more relaxed? If they’re showing up relaxed, follow suit – literally. A suit can be dressed down by not wearing a tie. Add a crew neck sweater to dress it down even more and look relaxed. Be aware of your workplace culture.
- Shake Up Your Shoes.
Broaden your footwear options by having one of each of these styles: lace-up, suede sneaker and leather slip-on.
- Less is More.
Don’t overdo your cologne. An empowered man shouldn’t have an overpowering smell. Choose a fragrance that isn’t too strong yet not too subtle. Ask those you trust to tell you the truth about your cologne choice.
