A panel of independent judges have selected Hender Hernandez Caba, a rising senior at Thomas R. Proctor High School, as the winner of the annual Give Back to Utica essay contest and recipient of a paid summer internship at the Utica Public Library.

The Connor Arthur Lynskey Memorial Scholarship Fund’s scholarship committee is pleased to announce this year’s recipients for its scholarship awards to graduating seniors from high schools in Oneida and Herkimer counties.

As an annual run-walk honoring his memory continues to grow each year, the family of Connor Lynskey is partnering with the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties to ensure the Hinckley teen’s legacy will live on.

The Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties is pleased to announce that its Give Back to Utica Fund has launched its annual essay contest for local high school juniors and seniors living in Herkimer or Oneida counties.

A local youth program, Young Scholars Liberty Partnerships Program (YSLPP), has received $1 million in funding to enhance and grow its programming for area students.
