The Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties offers meaningful ways to give back through its Memorial and Celebration Funds, which allow individuals to commemorate loved ones or celebrate life’s special moments while making a lasting impact on the community. 

Scholarships are awarded each year to local students in memory of Hinckley, NY teen Connor Lynskey through the Connor Arthur Lynskey Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties.

The Connor Arthur Lynskey Memorial Scholarship Fund announced this year’s recipients for awards to graduating seniors from high schools in Herkimer and Oneida counties. 

Each year, the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties works to fulfill the wishes of many individuals and families who have established scholarship funds to benefit local students and help them continue their educational journey.

Each year, scholarships are awarded to local students in honor of Hinckley, NY teen Connor Lynskey through the Connor Arthur Lynskey Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties.

The Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties announces the launch of SHINE, a collaboration with Johnson Park Center and Notre Dame Schools made possible by an anonymous donor’s endowed designated fund at the Foundation. SHINE offers opportunities for academic and personal growth to children of low-income households at Notre Dame Schools at no-cost. Eligible students are identified through Johnson Park Center programs.

To ensure that the legacy of Hinckley teen Connor Lynskey lives on, scholarships are awarded each year in his name through the Connor Arthur Lynskey Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties.

A panel of independent judges have selected Hender Hernandez Caba, a rising senior at Thomas R. Proctor High School, as the winner of the annual Give Back to Utica essay contest and recipient of a paid summer internship at the Utica Public Library.
