Community Foundation Names Director of Giving Strategies
Nick Grimmer has been named director of giving strategies at The Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties.
Nick Grimmer has been named director of giving strategies at The Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties. As director, Grimmer will guide the cultivation and expansion of The Community Foundation’s portfolio of philanthropic partners. He will also lead efforts to engage a growing number of charitable partners in supporting the Lead-Free MV initiative. Lead-Free MV is the first of The Community Foundation’s impact investments, which seek to address long-standing community challenges by leveraging resources with like-minded partners for maximum impact.
Grimmer brings more than a decade of experience in fundraising and major gifts solicitation to The Foundation. He previously served as assistant vice president of alumni relations and development at SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Utica, the executive director of the SUNY Poly Foundation and director of the SUNY Poly Alumni Association.
Grimmer holds a CFRE International certification, and a bachelor of science degree in business administration from SUNY Poly. He and his family live in New Hartford.
