More than 380 nonprofits are participating, using social media and other means of engagement to inspire and energize their donors. Support areas include animal rights, disability services, racial equity, education, arts and culture, emergency response, poverty and hunger, entrepreneurship, health and wellness, and many others. The full list of participating organizations is available at givemv.org.

Since the event’s inception in 2022, more than $8.4 million dollars has been raised by donors from all over the world. Last year specifically, more than 8,200 donors came together and raised over $5.2 million, benefiting 325 nonprofit organizations.

"Last year, Mohawk Valley Gives reached new heights, broke records and surpassed all expectations,” said Community Foundation President/CEO Alicia Dicks. “This event continues to showcase the incredible nonprofits we have right here in our amazing community while highlighting the unwavering generosity of those in our region and beyond. Time and time again, our community comes together in powerful ways, and Mohawk Valley Gives is a shining example of that. We’re excited to see how this momentum carries forward on September 19 and into the future.”

In 2024, UpMobility Foundation joined the Community Foundation as a co-host for the giving event. Partnering with a fellow foundation added strength, shared expertise, and an expanded network to the effort.

“Mohawk Valley Gives is a chance for our community to rally behind the nonprofits that make the Mohawk Valley stronger every day,” said Amy Lindner, interim executive director for UpMobility Foundation. “Every act of giving creates a ripple effect that reaches far beyond today, helping to build a more vibrant, connected, and resilient region. UpMobility Foundation is proud to continue standing with so many others in supporting this effort, and we’re excited to see the impact we’ll create together in 2025.”

Mohawk Valley Gives also partners with Staffworks for its annual Save a Life Campaign, and the Community Foundation of Otsego County, enabling Otsego nonprofits to benefit from the giving day.

Donations will be accepted at givemv.org from Monday, September 15, through the remainder of the week, but donations made on the September 19 giving day will help nonprofits maximize their fundraising goals by unlocking matches and challenges while also entering them in running for other Mohawk Valley Gives incentives, such as monetary prizes. The donation window closes on Friday, September 19, at 9:00 p.m. EST.

This year, 125 prizes across 36 categories totaling over $55,000 will be awarded throughout the giving day. Prize awards and categories can be explored at givemv.org/prizes.
