Our Funds

The Elizabeth Gerling Legacy Scholarship Fund was established to honor the life of Columbus Elementary School Principal Elizabeth Gerling, whose compassion, strength and dedication left an enduring impact on those who knew her. Created in the wake of her untimely passing, this fund serves as a meaningful way to continue the work and values Elizabeth held dear—whether through helping others in need or fostering opportunities for future generations. This fund stands not only as a tribute to Elizabeth's memory, but also as a source of hope and positive change in the lives of others.

A scholarship fund created by Peter Kupfer and Paul Sinclair to provide a community service award to a Little Falls high school graduate in honor of their cousins and longtime Little Falls residents Erich and Ruth Kupfer.

An endowed scholarship fund established by the Fred C. Snyder Education Scholarship Trust to benefit graduates of Dolgeville Central School pursuing an engineering degree.

A scholarship fund established in the name of Grove and Asta Murray to award scholarships to students of Herkimer High School pursuing studies in the natural sciences or music.

A scholarship fund established by Todd Hart and Terry Hart to award scholarships to students that have resided in the 1969 Fire District area of the Town of Trenton.

A scholarship fund established by the Hayes and Couper families to provide Clinton Central School District teachers with learning opportunities that help to improve student success through the Kirkland Fellowship program.

A scholarship fund that provides an award to a student from Holland Patent Central School planning to study math or the physical sciences.

A scholarship fund established by Max, DeTraglia, Max & Sullivan, MD, PC to award a scholarship to a student from Holland Patent Central School planning to pursue a degree in a medical or health-related field.

A fund established in memory of Ian J. Amendolare to provide awards for graduating seniors from West Canada Valley Jr/Sr High School pursing a degree or certificate in the trades.

The Jean M. Hernon-Kallus’82 Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Jean Marie Hernon-Kallus, who passed away in 2022, by her family, 1982 classmates and friends.  The fund will honor and remember Jean’s vibrant spirit for years to come, providing graduates of New Hartford Central School District with scholarships.

A scholarship fund established by F. Eugene Romano in memory of Jeanne Louise Ulrich Romano to award scholarships to a student attending Utica College pursuing a degree in business management.

A scholarship fund established in memory of renowned figure skating costume designer Jef Billings.

A scholarship fund established by John and Deanna Sammon to provide scholarships to graduates of the Young Scholars Liberty Partnerships Program.

A scholarship fund established by Wendy Moosavi in memory of her father Joseph F. Mazza who passed away in 2015 at the age of 92. A scholarship is awarded annually to a graduate of Thomas R. Proctor High School who is attending a Christian-affiliated school, with preference given to a student planning a career related to religion or theological study.

A scholarship fund established by George and Miriam Kazanjian to provide scholarships to deserving graduates from New Hartford Central School District or Whitesboro Central School District.

A scholarship fund established in memory of Kevin M. Grimmer to benefit student athletes graduating from Notre Dame Schools.

The Kirkland Fellowship is awarded to teachers in the Clinton Central School District who seek to improve the effectiveness of their teaching to all students and to contribute to the advancement of teaching in our public schools.

A scholarship fund established through the Laura Brooks Harney/P.J. Harney Scholarship Trust to award scholarships to graduates from the Town of Webb Union Free School District enrolling in select educational institutions.

A scholarship fund established by Fiber Instrument Sales in memory of an employee, Laura J. Gribneau, who was killed a car accident. Scholarships are awarded to a student from the Town of Webb School District planning to study science or business.

A scholarship fund established by the Leonard J. Capuana West Utica Democratic Club to award scholarships to students who exhibit leadership skills with background, character and interests similar to those of the fund's namesake, Leonard J. Capuana.
