VVS Education Foundation Scholarship Funds

The Community Foundation is proud to announce a new partnership with the Vernon-Verona-Sherrill (VVS) Education Foundation, a collaboration designed to strengthen higher education opportunities for students in the VVS School District for years to come.

Through this partnership, more than 50 scholarships established through the VVS Education Foundation to support VVS students will now be managed in partnership with the Community Foundation, providing expanded administrative support and an enhanced student application experience.

Since 1983, the VVS Education Foundation—formally known as VVS Dollars for Scholars—has provided scholarships for district students seeking to attend college. All of the scholarship funding is raised locally. Over $2 million has been raised and awarded to over 2,000 VVS students to date.
