Overview
Utica Dollars for Scholars is a locally-focused scholarship program dedicated to helping area students pursue higher education and achieve their goals. Since 1994, more than 2,200 students have received over $2 million in scholarships, made possible through the generosity of local families, businesses, organizations, and community partners. The program primarily supports students in the City of Utica, with additional donor-designated scholarships throughout Oneida and Herkimer counties, recognizing academic achievement, leadership, potential, and financial need.
As part of its continued commitment to local students, Utica Dollars for Scholars is merging with the Community Foundation, which will provide administrative support and manage the scholarship funds and application process. This partnership brings together the generosity of local donors and the expertise of the Community Foundation to ensure these opportunities continue to grow and make a lasting impact.
