DiMeo Educational Opportunities Fund
A donor-advised fund created in memory of Steve DiMeo to support educational opportunities that advance workforce and community development across the Mohawk Valley by breaking down barriers for students and future employees, while strengthening the region's talent pipeline. The fund will be supported through community contributions and proceeds of special events such as the SUNY Poly Speaker Series.
Overview
The DiMeo Family, in partnership with community organizations, is exploring future opportunities to expand the fund’s reach — including potential scholarship support for SUNY Poly students and collaborations with new programs such as the Career and Technical Education (CTE) initiative at Proctor High School, which launches this school year.
“Steve DiMeo’s legacy is one of visionary leadership and tireless commitment to the Mohawk Valley,” said Shawna Papale, President of Mohawk Valley EDGE. “This Speaker Series is not only a celebration of the ideas he championed, but also a way to ensure his impact continues through tangible support for the next generation.”
