Please note that scholarships administered by the Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties are awarded through a variety of different mechanisms, including by school district selection, public application, or through our community partners, such as Utica Dollars for Scholars.
Established by Dr. William L. Boyle, Jr., in tribute to his parents, William L. and Gladys K. Boyle, who enjoyed long, distinguished professional careers in education in Oneida County. In honor of Gladys K. Boyle, a scholarship for a graduate of New Hartford High School will be awarded to a student preferably intending to pursue a professional career in elementary education, particularly the kindergarten level.

The Jean M. Hernon-Kallus’82 Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Jean Marie Hernon-Kallus, who passed away in 2022, by her family, 1982 classmates and friends. The fund will honor and remember Jean’s vibrant spirit for years to come, providing graduates of New Hartford Central School District with scholarships.

• Multi-year participation in junior-varsity or varsity sports
• Involvement in extracurricular activities
• Volunteer to help needy individuals/organizations in local communities
• Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in learning
Established in memory of renowned figure skating costume designer Jef Billings that awards scholarships to graduates of New Hartford Senior High School interested in pursuing a career in the arts.

Established with funds raised by Kevin Neenan's family and friends to be awarded to graduates of New Hartford High School who demonstrate unrealized potential, inspiring them to believe in themselves by virtue of the nominating committee's belief in them.

Demonstrate academic improvement
Established in 1993 from memorial gifts received from friends and relatives of Peter Dobell Fraser to honor and remember this 1973 graduate of New Hartford Central School who was a hardworking, fun loving, outgoing gentlemen and passed away at 39 years of age. Two scholarships, one each to a male and female student, are awarded to graduates of New Hartford Central School.

Established by Barbara Mufti in honor of Benjamin Mufti whose life was ended far too soon in a car accident. The scholarship is awarded to a graduate of New Hartford High School who meets the scholarship criteria with a preference for candidates planning to major in English or pursue creative writing.
