The Woodland Walkway was originally part of the planning for View’s current location. It will be a traditional nature trail boardwalk with interpretive signage and demonstrations of the ecology of the forested Adirondack wetland. It will focus on the aesthetic dimension of the nature that unfolds before the visitor, with viewing stations sited along the path to highlight particularly informative and inspirational views.
The land upon which it will be built is located on a parcel owned by View (The Arts Guild of Old Forge, Inc.) located behind the building, between View and The Northern Logger’s Structure. Upon completion, the boardwalk will total 564 feet in length.
