Debbie’s Kids Memorial Fund
Debbie's Kids is a memorial fund established by Kari & Daniel in memory of their mother, Debra Reuben Deronda, who passed away on Mother's Day 2017. This fund will honor and remember her life's work in the Mohawk Valley and in North Carolina as a social worker and child advocate who fought tirelessly to protect and to empower children. Proceeds will benefit youth advocacy and youth mental health services.
Overview
Debra Jean was a devoted mother, "Nana/Grandma Beaufort," and mother figure to many. She was a fierce advocate for children's rights and one of the most influential contributors to the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center. Before her passing, she served for years as a senior case manager for the Oneida County Sexual Abuse Task Force, where her expertise in investigations, joint interviewing with law enforcement, court testimonies, and legislative advocacy led to the safe placement of countless children.
