Gifts of cash should not be mailed. Please contact the Community Foundation at 315-735-8212 to make arrangements for a cash gift.

Gifts can also be transferred directly from your bank to the Community Foundation’s account. Please contact our Finance Department at 315-735-8212 for instructions.

Making a Gift of Stock?

Please notify Nick Grimmer, Director of Giving Strategies, at 315-525-6584 or email ngrimmer@foundationhoc.org that a gift is being transferred. Provide the donor name, number of shares, and the name of the stock or the stock code, as well as the gift designation.

Give your bank or broker the following instructions:

If your stock is in certificate form, special procedures and a stock power will be required. Please contact us and we will be happy to guide you through the process.

Please note The Community Foundation does not charge a fee for stock gift transactions; however, all stock gift donations are charged a commission and/or transaction fee by the brokerage firm. The fund receives the balance of the stock gift donation, net of the brokerage fees and any gains or losses in value.
