Young Scholars potentially saved by Foundation funding

Young Scholars, a very successful college prep program for students who otherwise may not attend college, recently received more than $10,000 from the Foundation and its Mele Family Foundation fund. The funding will allow the program to hire a consultant who will create a business strategy to deal with substantial cuts by the school district.

The Observer-Dispatch recently profiled Young Scholars and The Foundation’s role in keeping the program thriving and impacting our community’s youths.
