Passionate donor gives back to Utica, NY through fund

In this guest editorial to The Observer-Dispatch, donor and fund-holder Steve Oram talks about how his fund at The Community Foundation allows him to give back to the community that shaped him today. Oram is a successful attorney in Chevy Chase, Md. and uses the fund to give an internship and scholarship to Oneida County youths each year who show a commitment to the community.

Mr. Oram is now seeking other donors and community members to join him in encouraging youths to stay and give to the Mohawk Valley.

“Why do I give back?,” he says in the editorial. “It’s easy, Utica gave to me. I owe it to the community. Please join me in giving back to Utica.”
