Foundation seeks next CEO

The Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties, Inc. is seeking its next President and CEO. Peggy O’Shea led The Foundation for more than a decade and is retiring at the end of the year.

The next CEO will be a true leader who can develop strategic consensus and then put into effect the agreed-upon strategy and goals.

Accordingly, the board seeks a CEO steeped in community leadership, engagement and enhancement. The best candidates will have built a reputation for effective leadership either within Herkimer and Oneida counties or within substantial philanthropic initiatives in communities whose issues and trajectory resemble those of The Foundation’s service area.

The board is open to considering other backgrounds that encompass exceptional management experience in a relevant context, a demonstrated commitment to community, a passion for The Foundation’s work and a superior capacity for collaborative leadership.
