Foundation-funded program is the ‘good’ in Utica O-D

The Observer-Dispatch editorial team recognized a Community Foundation grant-funded program as the good in their weekly feature “Our View: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.”

“It’s no secret music and the arts deeply enrich a child’s education. It’s also no secret that both often get short shrift in these days of difficult budgets,” the article reported. “On a good note, however, are programs like those that took place recently at Utica’s General Herkimer Magnet School, featuring the talent of the Monk Rowe Trio – Rowe, John Hutson and Tom McGrath.”
The Community Foundation funded the YMCA workshop as part of a four-part series of music exploration for Utica students.
